Over the next decade, he became a partner in two mortgage banking firms, funding over half a billion dollars in residential loans. In order to better serve the needs of his clients, Rick took and passed the series 7, series 63, series 65 and Insurance designation tests, which allows him to counsel clients and offer smart program choices for long-term financial strategies.As a child of immigrant parents, Rick’s upbringing shaped his future in many ways. He learned to embrace old school values—like how a handshake is binding.After receiving poor financial advice which impacted his life years later, he set out to make a difference. His experience as a client fueled his ambition to be the financial planner he wished he had had in his youth. Nick Winters, CFP® Nick Winters brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to the table. After earning a finance degree from the University of Arizona’s prestigious Eller College of Management, Nick went on to work as a Financial Planner for Vanguard for three years. He passed the Series 7, 63, and 66 license exams before earning his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification.Over his career, Nick has worked for a wide range of clients, from brand new investors to 30-year veterans. This array of experience gave him valuable insight into financial planning and expanded his industry expertise—skills he brings to Winters Financial Group.Although he left his hometown of Westlake Village, CA to live in Tempe, AZ where he currently resides, he brings his sports enthusiasm and team loyalty with him. As an avid LA Dodgers fan, and WFG VP, he bleeds blue through and through.
